The Audacity of ‘Precious’
My girlfriend’s brother, Tom Heller, produced a movie coming out in a few weeks called Precious. There’s an article in this week’s New York Times about the film. I went to a screening in NY this past weekend. It’s a powerful, moving film that won the Grand Jury & Audience Awards at Sundance as well as Best Film at the Toronto Film Festival. Coming soon to a theatre near you. Don’t miss it.

We flew to Seattle this past Wednesday, stayed in town till Friday, then drove about 4 1/2 hours North East to Winthrop, WA for a wedding. These are a few random clips that I strung together from the weekend. Fun trip!

Peak Performance
About a year ago, I wrote about Chris Waddell, an inspiring guy I went to high school with who was paralyzed in a skiing accident at 20 years old. After later becoming the most decorated male skier in Paralympic history, Chris set his sights on becoming the first paraplegic person to summit Mt. Kilimanjaro. This is a CBS News segment chronicling his adventure. Incredibly, Chris made it to the summit on September 30th! What an amazing story.
