China Trip

I’m planning a two week trip to China in August.  Where should I go?  What should I see?

  2. henningfrede answered: start in hongkong. take the nighttrain (softsleeper) to shanghai. stay a couple of days and take another nighttrain to beijing. or yunnan!
  3. illogicalmotion answered: Beijing is the place to be. I’m actually moving there in July. In Beijing at least, check out the hutongs, as they’re disappearing fast.
  4. holygadzooks answered: Yunnan is high on my list. Kunming is a great city, and within striking distance of some great spots. You should check out JinHong.

  6. sarahlane answered: Sounds cliche, but the Great Wall is pretty amazing. I hiked along Simatai, which is a little farther outside Beijing and very strenous.
