Tumblr Audio Playlist

Like many of you, I’ve been using Tumblr to discover new music.  A few times a week, I visit my Tumblr Dashboard, filter by audio posts (using the magnify glass button), and then click through all the music posts from people I follow.  It’s a great way to discover new tunes.  The only problem is that I have to click each individual track rather than listening to them as a playlist in the background as I do something else in another browser window.  I’m writing this post as a lazyweb request in the hopes that someone will hack together a playlist feature for Tumblr music fans like me.  Sadly, I don’t have the technical chops to make it myself or I would have months ago.

Here’s what I’m picturing.  In the short-term, develop a Greasemonkey script that integrates a person’s “following” list with the cool Song Circle player that Daryn built.  Daryn’s player uses a list of Tumblrs as its input and generates a playlist with an “auto-play” option.  I’d like a way to automatically pre-populate his player with the list of people I’m following (which changes over time).  The Greasemonkey script should also display some sort of link to access the player anytime I filter my Dashboard to audio posts.  Longer-term, I hope that the Tumblr guys build a playlist option into the site so that it’s available for everyone without the need to install Greasemonkey, but in the interim, Greasemonkey + Daryn’s player would be great.

Any Greasemonkey experts up for the challenge?
