Where’s My Last.fm Tumblr Top 5 Artist Post?
Update: Problem magically solved. Disaster averted. Go Obama!
Many of you added my Last.fm Tumblr Weekly Top Artist feed to your Tumblr site (thanks!). In case you were wondering why it hasn’t updated the last week or two, there’s a data delay at Last.fm that’s causing the error. Typically, Last.fm shares prior week data on Sunday at midnight GMT. Last week, the update didn’t post till Friday. Last week’s data still hasn’t posted as you can see on my Last.fm charts page. When the source data from Last.fm is more than a few days late, it never posts to Tumblr as Tumblr thinks the information is outdated. So, it’s not my fault :)
I blame CBS, the parent company of Last.fm. On second thought, I blame George Bush. When Obama is in the White House, we won’t have any of these data problems. In the meantime, I’ll email Last.fm and see if they know what’s up.
