California Academy of Sciences A friend and I went to the new California Academy of Sciences museum here in San Francisco today.  You should check it out if you’re in the area.  The building, which is located in the center of Golden Gate Park, houses an aquarium, a planetarium, a 4-story rain forest and a number of nature exhibits.  The Academy is also recognized for its “green” architecture, including the living roof shown in the photo above (photos via my Flickr).
