Frank Lloyd Wright, a Ken Burns documentary

I watched an excellent Ken Burns documentary on Frank Lloyd Wright over the last few days on Netflix Watch Instantly (which I love, by the way).  This is a short clip from the film detailing the design of Fallingwater.  I was familiar with Wright’s work through an art history class I took in college and some architecture books, but it’s amazing to hear other artists discuss his buildings and to learn about Wright’s unusual personal life.  I’m surprised, actually, that none of the big movie studios have made a film depicting his life.  It’s a fascinating story filled with ambition, lies, adultry, arogance, a brutal family tragedy, and stunning beauty.  Do yourself a favor and rent the documentary.
