If you’re interested in the web, entrepreneurship, or businesss, take a couple minutes to read this post from my friend Beach on the formation of the startup 12seconds.tv.
I remember having lunch with Beach not too long ago. He told me about an idea he had for a short video status update site. Honestly, I didn’t think he’d pull it off even though I admired his passion, ideas, and previous work, but much to my surprise and delight, Beach connected with a bunch of similar minded people in Santa Cruz, where he lives, and managed to bootstrap a vibrant community of interesting people who like to share 12 second vids with each other. As a company, they didn’t raise money. They just rolled up their sleeves and built something that they thought would be cool. It’s truely a beautiful thing. I’m psyched about what the 12seconds team has created. Check 12seconds out and consider voting for them as best bootstrapped startup in the Techcrunch Crunchies Awards.
