Life’s a Beach
Not to get too heavy on you for a Friday night, but I got some news that makes me really happy. My friend Beach found out a couple weeks ago that he had a cancerous tumor in his lung. He’s in his 30’s, has a loving wife, and two awesome kids. This week, the doctors removed a part of his lung and the latest pathology report shows no sign of cancer left in his body. What’s incredible, aside from the great news of his recovery, is that Beach shared the details of his ordeal on his blog, on Twitter, and on the video site he founded, 12seconds. Equally amazing is how friends, family, and random strangers have supported him throughout the process online. Check out these responses on Twitter or the get well video posts on 12seconds. I got a little choked up seeing them.
Beach is one of the most interesting, creative, and genuine guys I know. Fantastic news!
